Video with Sound, but NO Picture

If you downloaded a video file and all you get is audio but no picture then your computer is missing the required Codec.

There are a few different Codec Packs you can download, but we recommend downloading FFDSHOW.

Download FFDSHOW

Simply install FFDSHOW and try watching the video again.

I have exactly this problem. I have downloaded and installed the suggested FFDShow but it still just plays in my normal windows media player with sound but no picture. Please help

Try using the free video player VLC... It can play almost any file and it can fix most broken files. You can download it at: http://www.videolan.org/

I'm having exactly the opposite problem. Got a great quality picture but no sound... It was in Media Player and said it downloaded the codec...

It's almost always a codec problem. You can try:

I download a video but I have the opposite problem. Picture but no sound. Anyone know why it happened or why it downloaded this way? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
